Announcements



Construction Update:
Demolition of the old Heat Plant smokestack is scheduled to take place May 4 through May 22. For safety reasons, several surrounding areas will be inaccessible to personnel and vehicles. Parking lots F-4 (behind the Heat Plant) and F-5 (behind Beck Hall) will be closed in entirety, and the lower portion of F-3 (behind Georgian Room) will be closed. The area connecting F-4 to F-1 will be closed. The south entrance to Risley Hall will be closed. The west gate of the Stadium (facing F-4) will be closed. South Campus Drive from F-3 to the crosswalk at Deatrick Hall will be closed. Access to the Grounds Garage and fuel pumps will be limited to off-hours. As construction progresses, selected areas will be opened for general use.

 We apologize for the inconvenience, and look forward to the continued improvements to our campus.

During the week of May 4 - May 8 construction will be occurring at the Old Heat Plant.  Due to the nature of the construction, the fuels pumps may be off limits for much of that week.  Any official vehicles that needs to fuel from the university’s pumps should be topped off prior to the end of the day on May 1.


The Student Recreation Center will be operating under special hours for finals week: Monday-Wednesday 6 a.m.-11 p.m., Thursday 6 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday 6 a.m.-6 p.m.  Closed Saturday May 2 and Sunday, May 3. Summer hours begin on Monday, May 4:  Monday-Friday 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.  Any questions, please contact the office at ext. 6-4202.

It is with great sadness that the Accounting and Finance Department inform the campus community that Thomas Grant’s mother-in-law, Marion Shaw, 79, of Blue Bell, passed away on April 25.  Services will be held Saturday, May 2 at the Grace Baptist Church of Blue Bell.  Messages of sympathy can be sent to Tom Grant and his family at 418 Luella Drive, Kutztown, PA  19530.
