Free H1N1 vaccine for KU students. KU Clinical Services will be
offering free H1N1 immunizations to KU students today, Dec. 3, and 4 from 9
a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Student Recreation Center’s Seminar room 200. The
Centers for Disease Control has identified the following groups for
receiving the H1N1 flu vaccination:
· Students who are currently pregnant (authorization from obstetrician required)
· Students under age 24
· Students who are parents or caregivers for children under 6 months of age
· Students under the age of 65 with certain underlying medical conditions
Note: Students who are minors will require parental permission. Consent form can be downloaded from the Web site www.clinical.dept.kutztown.edu all consent forms can be faxed 484-646-4159.

The Kutztown University Academic Achievement Awards are presented to a select group of senior students who have achieved exceptional individual achievements in specified areas. The awards were established through a generous gift provided by Dr. Carlson R. Chambliss, who served as a member of the Kutztown University faculty from 1970 until 2003.
Faculty and staff at KU are strongly encouraged to nominate students worthy of consideration for this prestigious award. The areas of individual achievement are:
a) Successfully completed research projects.
b) Original artwork of high quality.
c) Artistic performances (music, chorus, drama, etc) of high quality.
d) Original writing in literature or meritorious writing in other fields.
e) Noteworthy achievements in athletics.
f) Outstanding service to the Kutztown University community.

KU summer study in Munich and Austria 2010. There will be a general information meeting for all students interested in participating in this exciting KU summer program in Europe. Spend May 30 to June 23 in Munich and the Austrian Alps. Courses offered by KU faculty include: GER 104—Intermediate German IV; GER 360—Study Abroad Experience-learn about German, Austrian and Swiss Culture, (taught in English); HIS 227—History of the Holocaust; and GEG 372-Mountain Geography.
Meet Thursday, Dec. 3 at 11 a.m. in DeFrancesco 114. Enjoy a slide presentation of the sites you will see in Germany and Austria given by former program participants! Information brochures and applications will be available.

The Graduate Student Association is holding its fourth and final general
meeting of the Fall 2009 semester today at 4:30 p.m. The meeting will take
place in 312 McFarland Student Union. The main items on this month's agenda
include reviewing potential professional development events for the Spring 2009
semester, reviewing the schedule for the Spring, and taking an "end of the
semester" survey. As always, GSA meetings are open to all graduate students.
