Free H1N1 vaccine for KU students. KU Clinical Services will be offering free H1N1 immunizations to KU students today, and Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Student Recreation Center’s Seminar room 200. The Centers for Disease Control has identified the following groups for receiving the H1N1 flu vaccination:

· Students who are currently pregnant (authorization from obstetrician required)

Note: Students who are minors will require parental permission. Consent form can be downloaded from the Web site www.clinical.dept.kutztown.edu all consent forms can be faxed 484-646-4159.

Criminal Justice Honor Society. The Department of Criminal Justice is pleased to announce that Nicole Manley, Chelsea Marie Melrath, Andrew David Weiss, Laurie A. Wenz and Andrew J. Zinger have been approved for membership in KU’s Kappa Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, the national criminal justice honor society. The chapter’s co-advisors are Pietro Toggia and Gary Cordner.

It has been requested that we extend the deadline to sign up for the 2009 Non-Instructional Staff Holiday Luncheon to Friday, Dec. 4 at 4 p.m. Don’t miss this window of opportunity to reserve your seat to attend this annual KU tradition.

Thank you to all faculty and support staff for submitting your textbook adoption and course material information to the bookstore. Your timely efforts will make it possible to purchase more textbooks from students when textbook buyback begins. This will put cash in the students’ pockets and increase the number of used textbooks available next semester, saving them a substantial amount of money.

The last show of the semester is up in the gallery. The Student Union Art Gallery and Brick Wall Exhibit Space have teamed up to exhibit the Spring '09 Studio Printmaking Class' "Printmaking Portfolio" featuring intaglio and relief prints. The show will be on display until Friday, Dec. 18. A catered opening reception tonight from 7-8 p.m.

C.P.M. (Campus Praise Ministries) invites you to a "Good News Party" Sunday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room of Golden Bear Village South Building 80. Human Rights Day in Pennsylvania panel discussion. The GLBTQ Resource Center is hosting a Human Rights Day in Pennsylvania panel discussion, “Looking Back, Looking Forward,” on Thursday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m., in 218 McFarland Student Union. The panelists include: Jacqueline Conforti Barnett, special assistant to the PASSHE Chancellor; Stephen A. Glassman, chairperson of the PA Human Relations Commission; and Barbara M. Taliaferro, KU associate vice president for Diversity and Inclusion. The panelists will discuss human rights past, present and future from different perspectives. This will be an opportunity to hear about the strides that have been made and the work yet to be done. All are invited to this free event.
