Announcements

KU Pride for February 2010 is now online!
Despite the weather, early winter is a busy season for KU students, faculty and staff.  In December approximately 500 students graduated during the combined commencement ceremonies.  Also that month, the annual Chambliss Faculty Research Awards and the John P. Schellenberg Award for Excellence in Teaching and Learning were presented to notable faculty members. The campus was buzzing with activity in January as KU hosted students from area junior and senior schools for the Berks County Science Olympiad and the Model UN Conference.  For these stories and more, check out the February issue of KU Pride. Tune in today for "The Diversity Rest Stop" Radio Program.
This time around, this normally 15-minute program expands one time to 30 minutes for a special interview with Philadelphia female jazz saxophone player Lynn Riley! Tune in at 1:30 p.m. to hear this special interview.

“The Diversity Rest Stop” is just a small sampling of the informative talk programming you can hear both Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. "Kastle" features the best in movie, music, and book reviews on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 2, while "Fifty One Percent" deals with women's issues at 3 on Wednesdays and "This Way Out" and "Makin' Waves" at 3:30 and 4 p.m. respectively on Wednesday are your exclusive keys to GLBTQ talk and issues.

Topping it off, tune in every day during “African American History Month” during our hourly newscasts to hear an invention discovered by an African American thinker. Just another reason why KUR is the most diverse and multicultural radio station on the dial. Thanks for listening!
