The 2010 Faculty and Staff phone directories are ready for pick up at the Copy Center (TAF-107). 
Please visit the Copy Center for your copies.  The booklets are grouped by department and will be distributed accordingly.

 

        Human Resources 


 

Student Union & Involvement Services in conjunction with the Community Outreach Center, will be collecting donations for the Haiti Earthquake victims at the Involvement Fair on Thursday, Jan. 21.  We will be collecting monetary donations as well as non-perishable food items.  All donations will be sent to the American Red Cross to support their relief efforts.  The Involvement Fair will take place from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. in 218 McFarland Student Union, the Multipurpose Room.  Every little bit counts so clean out your cupboards and your wallets and donate to this important cause.

You can incorporate The New York Times into your course to enrich your student’s academic experience.  It is a quality primary source for up-to-date world news and information.  Students, faculty and staff may subscribe in room 171 McFarland Student Union for $2.50 a week (Monday-Friday subscription).  Ask for Jessica Rahn, ext. 3-4090 or Rahn@Kutztown.edu.  Newspapers can be picked up every day at the Information Desk.

Faculty that incorporate the NY Times into their syllabus may receive a free subscription. To receive your copy, please e-mail Elaine Koziak, regional education manager, The New York Times at Elaine.koziak@pcfcorp.com with a copy of your syllabus requiring The Times, along with your delivery address and phone number.  Your paper will be delivered to your home or to the McFarland Student Union Info Desk, depending on where you live.

The Kutztown University Council of Trustees will hold a regular meeting on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 3 p.m. in 301 Stratton Administration Center.

Academic


Films Media Group (FMG) Workshops: The FMG video-on-demand system enables you to incorporate video into your classroom instruction and/or your Blackboard course shells. Faculty FMG training sessions are scheduled for Jan. 26 11 a.m. to noon; Jan. 27 3 to 4 p.m.; Jan. 28 11 a.m. to noon and Jan. 29, 9 to 10 am. Other training sessions can be arranged upon request. All FMG training sessions will be located in the FMG training area near my office (RL19) on the ground floor of the Rohrbach Library.

Seating is limited for all workshops.
