Vol. 2010 #14, Monday, January 25, 2010
Announcements
Congratulations KUR, celebrating its 5th birthday on January 24, 2010.
The ‘radio voice of Kutztown University’ transformed the broadcast landscape of KU and northeastern Berks – boasting advanced technology and brand new studios – debuting on January 24, 2005. Although a snowstorm threatened to silence the first broadcast – when KUR’s first on-air host couldn’t make it in to the studio – general manager Mike Regensburger saved the day by hosting the first shift.
The station has evolved significantly in response to audience needs and interests. The daily ‘Café KUR’ is a fusion of an all-jazz format with just a dash of soulful oldies. And the station offers six ways to tune in: FM, AM, Cable TV Simulcast, Webcast, AudioNow Feed, and Radiolicious Feed for I-Phone. KUR is available almost anywhere, any way!
Tune in for details on KUR’s birthday party planned for April. Or visit KUR on the Web at http://www.kutztown.edu/divisions/studentservices/departments/radioservices.
