Announcements

KUR's popular weekly 15-minute interview segment "The Diversity Rest Stop" moves this semester to Wednesdays at 1:45 p.m.! Mark your calendar! Each week, "The Diversity Rest Stop" features an interview with a musician, speaker, celebrity, or local newsmaker. Sometimes, but not always, the interview features someone recently brought to campus by the "KU Multicultural Center," thus the former name of this segment "The Multicultural Center Radio Show."

"The Diversity Rest Stop" kicks off in style this Wednesday, Jan. 27 with an interview with the first lady of Kutztown University, Josee Vachon, wife of KU President Dr. Javier Cevallos. Ms. Vachon is a well-respected Franco-American singer. Tune in this Wednesday at 1:45!

Today will mark the last day of operations at the Goldie’s Convenience Store.  Located in Golden Bear Village South, Goldie’s celebrated its grand opening in fall of 2004, and served the campus community for nearly 5-½ years.  As a division of KUSSI, Goldie’s was opened to serve the needs of the resident students by providing on-campus access to convenience items.  The store was an immediate success.  In the fall of 2008, KUSSI was given the opportunity to open the Dixon Marketplace.  The spacious facility and central location allowed us to significantly expand our product offerings to serve the needs of the south-campus community to an even greater extent.  As we finish consolidating our resources, we would like to thank all of the loyal customers who we have served in the Goldie’s location and welcome everyone to the Dixon Marketplace.

KUSSI is a non-profit affiliate of Kutztown University and contributes its surplus to student activities, campus athletics, and scholarships.
