With your support, Kutztown University successfully transitioned to the Desire2Learn (D2L) Learning Management System from Blackboard earlier this summer. On July 5, 2010, the PASSHE system will be upgrading to version 9.0, and further enhancing all D2L installations in the state system. As a result, the Kutztown D2L system will NOT be available on July 5 until updates are complete. We are not expecting any difficulties with this upgrade, and expect to have full access to D2L restored by the evening of July 5.

If you are teaching summer session II, we strongly encourage you to anticipate this upgrade in preparation for the start of class on July 6.  If you would like to schedule an appointment for consultation or one-on-one training, please contact Will Jefferson at the Learning Technologies Center (wjeffers@kutztown.edu or 3-4757) or Bo Zigner, Instructional Designer (zigner@kutztown.edu or 6-5828). Students will have access to courses on July 1.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any other questions. Thank you for your cooperation.

         James Hubbard, assistant provost
