AFSCME Members: half-price admission tickets available for the Reading
Fair. AFLCIO labor council is sponsoring a night at the Reading Fair, Thursday,
August 12. Discounted tickets are available for $5 each. Price includes rides,
activities and free parking. Tickets must be purchased in advance. For more

Rainmakers: Ramiro Garcia (in Peru) – (DVD 3016) Rainmakers tells the inspiring stories of six youth leaders from around the world who overcome difficult personal situations to take control of their lives and help others.
A Taste of Shakespeare: Macbeth – (DVD 3013) A Taste of Shakespeare is a series of guides to the most famous Shakespeare plays. In each video, actors tell the story of a specific play and act out key scenes, which reveal the attitudes and relationships of the main characters.
Powwow Highway – (DVD 3009) The road movie gets a smart update with this seriocomic tale of two Cheyenne men travelling from their reservation in Montana to New Mexico.
A Taste of Shakespeare: Hamlet – (DVD 3014) A Taste of Shakespeare is a series of guides to the most famous Shakespeare plays. In each video, actors tell the story of a specific play and act out key scenes, which reveal the attitudes and relationships of the main characters.
A World Full of Guns – (DVD 3017) Diane Sawyer will report the results of her special and timely investigation into the troubling issues arising from the availability of guns and the sophistication with which many children know how to use them.

We are sad to inform the university community of the passing of Judith Treichler,
retired telecommunications coordinator at KU. She faithfully served the
university for 24 years. In lieu of cards, contributions may be made to
