iService Desk/TMA Work Order System Changes- Facilities is working with Housing and Residential Services to enhance and streamline maintenance services to the residence halls for the fall semester. In order to improve our services to our residence hall students, new security procedures need to be put into place on the iService Desk web site. Beginning on August 2, all faculty, staff, and students will be required to “log in” using a username and password prior to entering a work request. The username and password for faculty and staff access will be provided via faculty/staff email on August 1. Faculty and staff can also obtain the username and password by contacting the Facilities Work Control Center at ext. 3-1594 or wcc@kutztown.edu.  Thank you for your patience as we improve our services to our students.

Summer Wednesdays are "Talk Wednesdays" here on KUR. After a great morning and early afternoon of Cafe KUR Jazz, we kick off the talk programming at 2:45 p.m. with our popular "Diversity Rest Stop" interview, interviewing a diverse newsmaker, musician, etc. This week, we sit down with co-founder of Naked Music Jay Denes. Naked Music is an independent record label specializing in artsy, jazz-influenced chill, and smooth dance music. Naked Music's latest project "Noesis," under the alias "Blue Six," has fast become a hit in recent weeks here at KUR.

The afternoon of talk programming continues at 3 p.m. with "Fifty One Percent," a radio magazine talk show designed specifically for women, followed at 3:30 p.m. by "This Way Out," the international gay/lesbian magazine.

Diversity and multiculturalism is what we do here at KUR, and just because it's summer doesn't mean it's any different! Thanks for listening to the Radio Voice of Kutztown University, KUR!

Reminder: Don't forget, if you haven't already, to become a fan of KUR on Facebook, especially if you are a musician. Click on the link in signature below. Also, please follow KUR on Twitter.

Palestine: 1890-1990 – (DVD 3010) This program provides a historical perspective on one of the world’s most deeply rooted conflicts, covering the major events that have shaped the region, from the origins of Zionism in Europe in the 1890s to the historic peace agreement between Israel and the PLO in 1993.
