Sitler, director, Conference Services This Friday, Apr. 22, in addition to being "Good Friday" in some Christian circles is also "Earth Day 2011" across the country! And in celebration, KUR will be airing a special program entitled "The Water-Energy Crunch: A Powerful Puzzle" at 1 p.m. "The Water-Energy Crunch" is a clash of essential needs. Humans are thirsty creatures who need water to drink and bathe, but also to produce most forms of energy. No water, no energy, and nothing goes on. Literally. How we resolve the competition between water and energy needs is a defining issue of this century. "The Water-Energy Crunch" is a co-production of IEEE Spectrum Magazine and the National Science Foundation. Friday, Apr. 22, (Earth Day), at 1 p.m. right here on the "Radio Voice of Kutztown University, KUR." Michael Regensburger, student development educator, Radio Services The last show of the semester is on the Brick Wall and it is a great one! If you haven't gotten the chance yet, stop by the Brick Wall to check out the etchings and prints of Adam Toussaint. His show "Direction" will be on display from now until Apr. 28 with a catered opening reception on Thursday, Apr. 21 from 6-7 p.m. Alicia Bonilla-Puig and Elizabeth Emmett Gallery Coordinators As the semester comes to a close, it will once again be time for the summer CONNECTIONS Involvement Fairs and we need your help, The Office for Student Involvement, along with CONNECTIONS, will be organizing an Involvement Fair held in the South Dining Hall during the new students’ first night on campus, during each of the nine Orientation cycles. The purpose of this fair is to expose students to organizations, campus activities, civic services, volunteer opportunities, and other programs and possibilities. As an incentive for attendance at the Involvement Fair, we would like to offer students the chance to receive door prizes. We are looking to the Kutztown University community, as well as student organizations, to create a showcase of campus life. The nature of the event attracts freshmen and upperclassmen alike. We are extending an opportunity to the Kutztown University community to sponsor door prizes for each of the nine nights of the Involvement Fair. If you are interested, please email Kristen Gallagher at kgallagh@live.kutztown.edu. Please indicate your department and door prize contribution.
