The campus community is invited to recycle personally-owned old and unwanted electronics at Kutztown Area High School on Friday and Saturday, August 19 and 20, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Old electronics, including computer towers, laptops, monitors, mice, keyboards, printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, telephones are included and even small appliances such as toasters, radios, TV’s, VCR’s, and blenders - please, no glass. The event is open to anyone in Berks County. (Large appliances, such as refrigerators, dryers, air conditioners, and dishwashers, along with any items that have hazardous or bio-hazardous materials cannot be accepted.) Michael Regensburger, KUR Radio Construction Update: Starting on Wednesday, Aug. 3, paving repairs will begin in Lot A-4, causing this area to be closed to all parking. Lytle Lane will be closed to all traffic starting from College Boulevard to the entrance of Lot A-5 starting Monday, Aug. 8 in support of the paving project. This road will be closed until Monday, Aug. 22 (weather permitting). Access to Lytle Hall will still be possible from N. Campus Drive by the ball fields and the Academic Forum and heading north. If you are an advisor to a student organization, please encourage your organization's members to sign up for the Fall Involvement Fair. It will be held on Thursday, Sept. 1, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on the Schaeffer Quad. There will be music, food, giveaways and more.
