ANNOUNCEMENTS

A solo exhibition of the work of KU assistant professor of fine arts, Jiawei Gong, was featured at the Dubuque Museum of Art’s McNamer Gallery in late July. According to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier in Iowa, the show highlighted 11 digital photographs from a new body of work by Jiawei Gong. Gong uses digital media, such as digital video, sound, digital photography, and interactive web art in practicing his creative ideas. He is currently focused on themes of the fundamental human experience and contemporary social commentary. – WCF Courier


The campus community is invited to recycle personally-owned old and unwanted electronics at Kutztown Area High School on Friday and Saturday, August 19 and 20, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Old electronics, including computer towers, laptops, monitors, mice, keyboards, printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, telephones are included and even small appliances such as toasters, radios, TV’s, VCR’s, and blenders - please, no glass. The event is open to anyone in Berks County.

(Large appliances, such as refrigerators, dryers, air conditioners, and dishwashers, along with any items that have hazardous or bio-hazardous materials cannot be accepted.)

Leah Cassellia’s father in law, Robert Cassellia passed away, August 2, in his home with his family after a short but sudden illness.
