Announcements

You are invited to International Mother Language Day today to celebrate languages spoken worldwide. It observes the human right to use these languages. It also remembers events such as the killing of four students in Bangladesh on Feb. 21, 1952, because they campaigned to officially use their mother language, Bengali.

This evening, at 6 p.m. in the MSU183, enjoy a tribute to Mandarin language as it is related to Chinese culture through demonstration of calligraphy, the zodiac, and performances by Chinese students and faculty. It is co-sponsored by the Chinese Students and Scholars Association,  Lehigh Valley Bangladesh Community, Modern Languages Studies and the Multicultural Center.
