Paris The Luminous Years (DVD 4659) “Paris The Luminous Years” tells the epic story of Paris from an unprecedented point of view-not as the familiar, glamorous backdrop for the revolutions that exploded there, but as the active protagonist, catalyst, and midwife to modernity. The film spotlights now-famous key figures in the art world’s first international avant-garde, tracing who came to Paris and why, whom they met, what they made there, and how being in Paris transformed them and their work.

Killing Us Softly 4 (DVD 4667) In this new, highly anticipated update of her pioneering “Killing Us Softly” series, the first in more than a decade, Jean Kilbourne takes a fresh look at how advertising traffics in distorted and destructive ideals of femininity.

This workshop will briefly look at the history, motivation, and development of the new model and then quickly turn to a discussion of the four parts of the model. We will delve into how to help students (and advisors) navigate the intricacies of the new model. What counts where? When does a student have to take what? Can one course fulfill more than one requirement? What if a student changes his/her major? What's a "Competency Across the Curriculum" and how does one get approved? Where can I go for more information? All these questions and more will be addressed in this workshop. If you plan to attend the workshop, please respond to sreed@kutztown.edu.
