Congratulations to Matt West, 1998 Geography/Applied Track graduate, who is a 2011 recipient of the Kutztown University Alumni Association Early Career Excellence Award. Schaeffer, chair, University Curriculum Committee The Kutztown University Planetarium starts off another season of one-hour laser light shows on Friday, April 1, through Thursday, April 7. The planetarium, located in the Grim Science Building room 100, hosts a variety of laser light shows to the music of the Beatles, Madonna, Pink Floyd, Crystal Method, Metallica, and others. The first show, Laser Beatles, is at 6 p.m., followed by two more at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. The laser light shows are open to the public, with tickets on sale for $3 at the McFarland Student Union, at the door of the show, or online for an additional processing fee. The planetarium, recently enhanced with a full-dome digital projection system, is used for introductory astronomy laboratory exercises and for the university's Astronomy Outreach Program. The planetarium is also open for free shows on scheduled dates, listed on the website. Private group shows can be scheduled online at the planetarium’s website.
