The following DVDS were added to the media library are available in the AV Center:

Crow Call (DVD 5145) - This is the story of young Liz and her father, who has been away at WWII for longer than she can remember. Through a hunting trip, cherry pie, tender conversation, and the crow call, this allegorical story shows how, like the birds gathering above, the relationship between the girl and her father is graced with the chance to fly.

That Book Woman (DVD 5146) - Cal is not the reading type, but that Book Woman keeps visiting. This is the moving story of the Pack Horse Librarians, whose bravery and commitment helped rural children find something wonderful in books. Narrated by Walker Harrison.

Alternative Medicine (DVD 5144) - Beyond the boundaries of mainstream medicine are treatments that many claim have powerful healing properties. Produced in association with Skeptical Inquirer magazine, this intriguing program scrutinizes the principles behind acupuncture, magnet therapy, crystal therapy, homeopathy, therapeutic touch, and reiki as respected practitioners demonstrate their specialties and make their case.

ATHLETICS

Reimer, McQuade and Deeter honored by the LVAIAW -
Three of Kutztown University’s terrific senior student-athletes were recognized for their outstanding athletic accomplishments Tuesday afternoon at the annual Lehigh Valley Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women luncheon at Starter’s Pub.

Chelsea Deeter (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) for soccer and Cristina Reimer (Chester Springs, PA/Downingtown East) for cross-country, were honored as the most outstanding players in their respective sports. Meanwhile, women’s basketball record holder Melissa McQuade (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) was recognized for being Kutztown’s most outstanding senior female athlete.

All three young women have set standards that will be hard to match. While they have re-wrote their respective sports record books, the quality that makes all three special is their humble attitudes.
