Dr. Adrienne Oakley
and five Kutztown University undergraduate students are midway
through their six-week oceanographic research cruise in the central
Pacific Ocean. They have been out on the open ocean for three weeks
collecting geophysical data on the nature of the ocean floor. Dr. Oakley
and her students welcome you to share their adventures via their
photo-rich daily blogs that tell tales of rough seas, whales pods, life
on a scientific research vessel, and other exciting experiences --

Rober, assistant professor in the Department of Music, will present “Echoes of the Incas: A Visual and Aural Journey on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu” on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. in the Sharadin Arts Building, room 120. Dr. Rober will recount his four-day hike on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu through visual images and music. The Presentation will be more of a travelogue than a lecture, but will provide information about the Inca history, culture and music, and many pictures of the journey. Polk celebrates women composers and the arrival of the music department’s new Steinway Concert Grand Piano. She is most well-known for her recordings of the late American composer, Amy Beach’s piano works. She has won an INDIE award for best solo recording and her latest CD, Songs of Amy Beach, was nominated for a 2007 Grammy Award.
