Thank you to all Faculty for submitting your textbooks adoptions
in a timely
manner. As we prepare for the Fall semester, the Bookstore is attempting to
ensure all course material information on our website is accurate and complete.
There are several reasons why some information may be incomplete; including a
professor not being assigned for a class yet, waiting for information from a
publisher, or low enrollment for an individual class. Otherwise, textbooks and
required materials need to be listed to be compliant with the HEOA (Higher
Education Opportunity Act).
We are reaching out to faculty and asking that they please take a minute and
check to make sure their courses are listed on our website with accurate
information. If your course and section do not appear, we may have not received
your textbook adoption yet. After reviewing your courses, please feel free to
contact our textbook department with any questions at x3-4037. To check out our
website:
1. www.kubstore.com
2. Click on Textbooks
3. Click on “Purchase or Rent your Textbooks
4. Select Fall 2012
5. Choose the department, course, and section
6. Repeat this for all your courses (They will appear on the right side of your
screen)
7. Click Compare Prices On These Course Materials button
8. Click Begin Price Comparison button
From here you will see our comparison tool. Look for the KU Bookstore selections
in blue. Thank you for assisting us to get all course material information out
to the students and keeping the university compliant with HEOA.

A visual testimony to the shattering effect of violence against women and the impact it has on society, the Clothesline Project gives survivors of violence and friends of victims a place to share direct messages and strong illustrations emblazoned on shirts. These shirts demonstrate the pain and suffering of the survivors, aid in the healing process, and celebrate their strength and courage to overcome the past. T-shirts, which will be added to the clothesline, will be available for painting in the Women’s Center Oasis, Old Main 3. Also on Apr. 19, at 7 p.m. outside in the Alumni Plaza, Take Back the Night invites individuals to speak out and share their experiences, read poetry, and tell stories about sexual assault and intimate partner violence. Following the speak-out will be a candlelight vigil dedicated to Christine McGhee, a KU student who was the victim of relationship violence. The event will end with a procession to the Women’s Center Oasis, Old Main 3, where refreshments will be served.
