KU SCUPA’s PSEA representative, Marc Kornfeld
was in an automobile accident on Saturday and passed away on Sunday from complications. SCUPA was his brainchild and he negotiated their first contract in the early eighties. His forte was trying to bring parties together to talk through their differences. Marc was London School of Economics graduate as well as a Rhodes Scholar, he was brilliant at the negotiations table with total mastery of all figures and points that were being discussed. Marc has worked with many at KU and PASSHE over the past decades in Labor Relations. He never lost sight of the fact that people and families were most important above all else. He was 71 years young and recently celebrated 41 years with PSEA. There will be a memorial service in about three weeks and more information will be provided upon request.
