Student specialty shows are well underway here in 2012 and our commitment to campus and community public service talk continues this year with our popular "Tuesday Talk" segment every Tuesday this semester from noon to 4. The highlight of this coming Tuesday’s (Feb. 7) show is “Kutztown Live” with Mike R. who this week sits down at 2 Clark Frederic, whose distant ancestors built the former Kemp Hotel on the far north side of town across from the Weis Shopping Center. More recently, the Kemp Hotel was known as "Seasons Grille" in the mid 2000s and "The Whispering Springs Restaurant" in the 1990s and early 2000s. Unfortunately, it now sits abandoned and falling apart in 2012, but Frederic is trying to change that. If you're interested in Kutztown history, tune in for this fascinating and informative interview and find out how perhaps you can help save this important Kutztown landmark. Then at 2:30, Mike R. chats with a representative from the national non-profit anti-depression/addiction/self-injury/suicide organization "To Write Love on Her Arms."

New Degree Audits - With the move to MyKU also comes a move to a new degree audit. K-SCANs will be replaced by a new interactive “degree audit” in the very near future.  This new tool is easy to use and will be beneficial when advising students and doing graduation clearances. However, it will require some training to enable you to use it to its fullest capacity. We will offer training in two parts.  This is the information for the first part of the training.

The first part will be sessions to view a demonstration on the new degree audit.  These demo sessions are designed to show you how the product functions.  You will leave the session with a link to a manual designed to assist you in running degree audits for your advisees.  There will be time at the end of each session to allow for a brief question and answer period.  If you cannot attend the entire session, please try to attend the first hour.  Please RSVP for one of the sessions below to Amy Walton at regoffice@kutztown.edu.
