
The Kutztown University men’s rugby team advanced to the semi-finals at
the Men’s CRC Qualifier 7s/Las Vegas Invitational Tournament
this past weekend. After decisive victories over Creighton
and Claremont on Thursday, KU opened Friday’s pool play with a 38-7 win over
Missouri. The Golden Bears then advanced to the quarterfinals of
pool play where they defeated Buffalo, 31-0, and Miami (OH) 17-7.
The two quarterfinal victories allowed KU to advance to the tournament
semi-finals on Saturday, where the injury-plagued Golden Bears fell to eventual
champion Life, 25-7. The KU men’s rugby team will now prepare for
its spring conference schedule, which begins in March. For more
