In keeping with a tradition begun more than five years ago, Kutztown University Radio (KUR), will air Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s entire, approximately 16-minute “I Have a Dream” speech every hour, on the hour, on Monday, Jan. 16, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The speech will air immediately following top-of-the hour station identification and the hourly news, each of the 24 hours from midnight through 11:16 p.m. In between, KUR’s recently tweaked, reflective “KU Radio Lounge” will play. “Most people have just heard the final, powerful “free at last” part of the speech without actually sitting down and listening to how poignant the entire 16-minute masterpiece really is,” said KUR Director/Advisor Mike Regensburger. “In keeping with our mission of being the most multicultural and diverse University station on the dial, we’re proud to continue this yearly tradition of broadcasting the entire speech 24 times on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” Day.

Michael Regensburger, director, KUR Radio
