KU junior Peter Koufalis was on-hand at CERN, the European nuclear research center near Geneva, Switzerland, for the big Higgs-boson announcement. The discovery is heralded as one of the most important scientific findings in modern times. Dubbed the "God particle," scientists believe it holds the key to explaining the origin of life in our universe. See the story at: http://readingeagle.com/article.aspx?id=399273

Summer 2012 programming continues in full force! In addition to all of our regular stellar programming (see "schedule" link for the full rundown), tune in on Wednesday, Jul. 18 during Mike Regensburger's show "Monsoon Mike's Community Jukebox" for a special interview with 1980s pop superstar Robbie Dupree. Robbie had two major hits in the 1980s ("Steal Away" & "Hot Rod Hearts"). Often considered a one or two-hit wonder, these terms couldn't be farther from the truth. Robbie has been as active as ever lately as can be seen from
his website, and on this memorable interview with Monsoon Mike. Tune in for a truly special "Monsoon Mike's Community Jukebox" 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
