ANNOUNCEMENTS


The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office is pleased to welcome new associate dean, Dr. David Beougher, to the Kutztown University family. For the past several years, Dr. Beougher has served as assistant professor of History at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Dr. Beougher has also held various positions at Eastern Michigan University, including chair of the Department of Military Science and Leadership.

Dr. Beougher has presented at international and national conferences in his field and received several grants. He has been published in diverse venues and served in different capacities on a variety of committees, including those dedicated to teaching excellence, student thesis advising, admissions, assessment of organizational goals and veteran’s affairs. He holds current professional and academic association memberships with The Medieval Academy of America, The Historical Society, The Society for Military History, and Phi Alpha Theta (History Honor Society). In addition to Dr. Beougher’s academic background, he brings many years of military experience in leadership, assessment, budget supervision and logistics management. He has served as strategic planner, operations officer and executive officer during his deployments to Germany, Iraq and Turkey.

Dr. Beougher received his Ph.D. and M.A. from Pennsylvania State University and his bachelor's from Vanderbilt University.

Schaeffer Lane will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, Jul. 31 and Wednesday, Aug. 1
, to allow for installation of the new gas line for Schaeffer Auditorium. Please use Luckenbill Road or the road at the Education House to access North Campus from Main Street during this time.
