In Case You Missed It:
(Announcements and other information that have previously appeared in the Daily Brief.)

Summer Involvement Fairs - The Office of Student Involvement would like to ask the Kutztown community and student groups on campus to please donate any extra promotional items they may have for giveaways at our Involvement Fairs. They will be held during the nine CONNECTIONS programs over the summer. This is a great way to market your department and your group to the incoming first year students, giving them an opportunity to see what you have to offer. What could be easier? You will be recruiting while you are out enjoying the summer, no effort needed! For further information, please contact Petritsa Chatzitziva at x34043 or at chatzitz@kutztown.edu or drop your items at Office of Student Involvement in MSU 153.

Kutztown Borough will be replacing the water main that runs under Kutztown Road.
The construction is expected to start (depending on the weather) at the intersection of College Blvd and Kutztown Road on Jun. 8. They will be closing one side of the road, one section at a time, with flagmen directing traffic around that section. At the end of each day the trench will be filled in and the road opened completely. The excavated section will be passable but won’t have a finished paved surface for a month. The surface will be rough, but passable. The water main will be supplying the Giant being built to the west of campus - the trench will begin at the college and end at the Giant.

Please remember that courses in Desire2Learn are created as "inactive." This simply means you will be able to have access to you D2L learning space sooner, since your students will not have access to your course until you choose to make your course status "active." Instructions are posted in D2L. If you have any questions, please contact D2LAdmin@kutztown.edu.

Jim Brenneck, LMS manager, Office of Distance Education

Storeroom Inventory - The University Storeroom
will be conducting our annual inventory the week of Jun. 11, through Jun. 13. During this time, the storeroom will be unable to make campus deliveries. While the storeroom is conducting inventory, the SAP System will not allow users to process material reservations online -- it is important that campus users refrain from attempting to use the material reservation transaction codes during this time. (The transaction will not only be rejected but it will also have an impact on the storeroom inventory process.) The storeroom will begin running the necessary transactions in preparation for inventory at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jun. 8. The system will resume accepting material reservation transactions beginning on Thursday, Jun. 14.

If you have any questions, concerns, or emergency needs during this time, please feel free to contact Tim Good, storeroom supervisor at x3-4139 or via email at
good@kutztown.edu.
