Community Night - The Kutztown University community enjoyed a night of
popcorn, pastries and football as well as celebrating the first-ever KU
Athletics Community Service Award, honoring the Kutztown Optimist Club. This
organization has provided $45,000 in scholarships since 2006. Other community
organizations and members that joined the Golden Bears that evening were the
Mayor of Fleetwood, Chamber of Commerce, Kutztown and Fleetwood youth football. Volunteers needed for Christmas on the Farm on Dec. 8 at the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center at KU. Open positions include; children’s activities helper, parking attendants, welcome tent and cider stand cashiers, and greeters. We are also in need of donations of cookies, snacks and other goodies for our cider & cookie stand. Kutztown Women’s Rugby hosting Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Rugby Championships—The Kutztown University Women’s Rugby club is hosting the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Rugby Championships on Saturday, Nov. 17 on the Farm Field on North Campus. The Women’s Rugby Club will be playing Lock Haven University at 12:30 p.m. for the Women’s Championship. Come out and support the women’s club as they have worked extremely hard this season to get to the championship game.
