KU Golden Bear
Kyle Ueberroth blocked a 33-yard field goal attempt with two seconds remaining as Kutztown held off LIU Post, 14-12, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division contest on Saturday. The Golden Bears, winners of four in a row and six of their final seven, opened the scoring with 2:54 remaining in the first quarter when All-PSAC second team quarterback Kevin Morton hit wide out Brett Fox on a 23-yard touchdown strike. We appreciate the 23 KU students who served as hosts/hostesses and the faculty members for allowing prospective students to sit in on classes. Dr. Angelika Antoni was instrumental in coordinating the event with Chris Ferris, and the assistance of Dr. Phill Reed and Professor Eric Laub who participated in the roundtable discussions. Join Kutztown University for not one—but five days of Thanksgiving. This Sunday, Nov. 18, KU hosts a Community Thanksgiving Service in MSU218 at 5 p.m. The service is followed the next day with a Choir Concert performed at 7 p.m. in the Georgian Room. On Nov. 20, Kutztown Youth Choir will host “Potpourri of Entertainment KU Jazz Combo” at 7 p.m. in the Trinity Church. Join guest speaker Kevin McCloskey at the Kutztown Tavern Banquet Hall Room for “Thanksgiving with a Twist.” Ending the week on Nov. 21 is Thanksgiving dinner, held in St. John’s UCC from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
