The Snowman presented by KU
Presents! is this Friday and
Saturday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. This family-favorite holiday tradition will be
presented at the Miller Center
in downtown Reading. Based on the classic children’s book by
Raymond Briggs, The
Snowman film features the
Kutztown University Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Will Rapp, playing the
score, and bringing this beautifully drawn film to life. Our 3rd annual offering
of seasonal music includes the KU Jazz Band and surprise guests.

The Race Experience Update
- "The Race Experience" kiosk was utilized 1,010 times
(based on records of camera shots) during the week-long project last month.
Thank you for participating. Here are a couple of comments from participants: "....there wasn't a significant amount of change (facial morphing image from one "race" to another), but at the end of the day, I'll still be me, no matter what skin I'm in." "Very impressive! Excellent and eye-opening. As a teacher, this is an awesome lesson to learn!" "This is a mind-blowing and a very necessary concept. I would like to share with my middle school students." When we understand that "race" is not based on biology, but a social and political concept constructed to exclude and exploit some while privileging others, we may more fully embrace the varied and rich cultures, traditions and heritages of our world. Thank you! Rhonda Branford, director, Multicultural Services I would like to thank everyone for the many cards and kind thoughts that were sent to me and my family regarding the recent loss of my mother.
