The Snowman presented by KU Presents! is this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. This family-favorite holiday tradition will be presented at the Miller Center in downtown Reading. Based on the classic children’s book by Raymond Briggs, The Snowman film features the Kutztown University Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Will Rapp, playing the score, and bringing this beautifully drawn film to life with Dr. Kevin Kjos leading the KU Jazz Ensemble I, in the 3rd annual season special. Tickets are available at the MSU Information Desk or online at www.KutztownPresents.org.  



KU Department of Music presents Chamber Singers with Dr. Dennis Williams, director on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Georgian Room. Come and enjoy KU’s most select vocal ensemble singing Christmas songs, folk tunes, spirituals and madrigals throughout the ages!


As the end of the fall semester approaches, do you find your dorm or apartment filled with left over boxes of cereal? Art supplies? Packs of Ramen Noodles? Don't throw that out! During the week of final exams - Dec. 10-14 - the Women's Center Oasis at OM3, and the residence halls will have donation boxes set-up where you can donate non-perishable food items, household goods, linens, art supplies, toys, feminine products and new or used clothing. Traveling Around The World, Part II: The Cocoa Bean - The Multicultural Center presents the second in the series, Traveling Around the World. Please come and join us on Thursday, Dec. 6, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Multicultural Center 104. A brief history of the cocoa bean will be presented, you will learn some non-food uses for the cocoa bean and enjoy a sampling of some foods made from chocolate. Recipes for the foods sampled will also be available.

The GLBTQ Resource Center screens “She’s a Boy I Knew”, a documentary exploring gender identity and interpersonal family relationships. The United Greek Council is hosting an Inauguration day trip to Washington, D.C. on Jan. 21, 2013
for KU students and non-students. The bus departs at 6 a.m. from the MSU parking lot. Tickets for KU students are $10 and non-students are $15. Ticket sales begin on Thursday, Nov. 29 and continue Tuesday, Dec. 4 and Thursday, Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. in MSU 153 for KU students. For non KU students, tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Dec. 11.

 

The Office of Student Involvement, in conjunction with the Office of Conference Services is happy to announce an online process for signing up for tables in the McFarland Student Union, South Dining Hall, Old Main and Boehm. This online process also includes registering Sales and Solicitation events in accordance with the KU Policy # STU-031. This process will take place solely online. If you have any questions, please call the Office of Student Involvement at x3-1383 or the Office of Conference Services at x3-1359. Thank you!

Reservation Requests and Sales and Solicitation Forms must be submitted a minimum of at least three business days prior to the requested event.
1. A room or table reservation must be made through the EMS Room Reservation System by a KU faculty or staff member
2. The faculty/staff member receives an email acknowledging the reservation request that includes a Reservation ID#. If applicable, the email should be forwarded to the event organizer.
3. The event organizer (student, staff or faculty member) must then complete an online Sales and Solicitation Form found on KUnited at
http://kunited.kutztown.edu within three business days of the reservation. . (Log in using a full KU email address and email password.)
4. Once the online form is reviewed by the Office of Student Involvement, the person creating the submission will receive an acknowledgement via email either approving or denying the sale and/or solicitation. A space reservation status update will be sent to the person requesting the space.
