Sigma Alpha Epsilon, a KU fraternity, was recognized over the weekend by the national headquarters of Sigma Alpha Epsilon as “The Best Chapter of Province Rho-Eta.” The KU chapter of SAE maintained the highest GPA of all the fraternities at KU, while at the same time, raising money for their philanthropy, the Children’s Miracle Network. Additionally, they were recognized for their outstanding work in the community, scholastic achievements, and dedication to fraternity values. Province Rho-Eta includes colleges and universities in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Delaware including University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers, University of Delaware, The College of New Jersey, Mansfield, Gettysburg College, IUP, Albright, West Chester and Dickinson. Business Plan Competition-This week's Business Plan Competition meeting will focus on refining your business idea for the competition. Dennis Williams, associate professor in the music department, will present “Performance Anxiety and the Fight or Flight Syndrome” on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. in the Sharadin120. Dennis Williams will talk about stage fright and all of its manifestations. This presentation will focus on suggesting recommendations for the condition based on the Fight or Flight Syndrome. Since Performance Anxiety affects almost everyone in every walk of life and every age group, the discussion will be helpful to many persons in the university.
