In order to be considered for this distinction, a candidate must meet the following minimum requirements: -have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 entering the fall 2012 semester, -demonstrate service to the university community and demonstrate a record of good university citizenship and cooperation (Presence of these qualities shall be demonstrated in the application process and letters of recommendation.), -demonstrate evidence of meaningful co-curricular involvement, and -be in good disciplinary standing. In addition, each candidate must submit a completed application available at: http://www2.kutztown.edu/events/commencement/for-students/student-commencement-speakers.htm. Finalists will be chosen to participate in an interview process to determine the candidate of choice who will be expected to provide a brief address (approximately 3-5 minutes) at the fall 2012 Commencement ceremony. Prospective students will have the opportunity to talk with faculty, current students, alumni and admissions personnel. Anthropology Club field trip - The Anthropology Club is sponsoring a trip to the American Museum of Natural History (New York), on Sunday, Oct. 14. We will leave by 9 a.m. and return by 6 p.m. All students are invited to join us, as long as space is still available. (Seating is limited.) For basic admission, the Anthropology Club will cover the cost, but $5 is required to sign-up and reserve a seat in one of the vans.
