It is with great sadness that the Fine Arts
Department shares
the recent death of Scott Alan Atiyeh (Kutztown University, Art Education,
Certification, 2003), who fought a courageous battle with brain cancer for the
past two years. Scott was an art teacher at Salisbury Senior High School,
longtime resident artist at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem, and the husband of
associate professor of Fine Arts, Christine Zitrides Atiyeh. Christine, Scott
and their daughter, Marina, thank the KU community for their continuous support
and love throughout. A celebration of life will be planned in the future, but
the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations are made to one of the two
scholarships named in Scott’s honor: The Scott Atiyeh Scholarship Fund
(providing access to the arts for at-risk children) c/o ArtsQuest, 25 West 3rd
Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015; or The Scott Atiyeh Memorial Scholarship c/o
Salisbury Township Senior High School, 500 East Montgomery Street, Allentown, PA

Jennifer Spencer, graduate assistant, MSU Corrections to Printed Faculty/Staff Phone Directory: In the transfer of data to run the print copy of the directory, there was an error in merging the “non-KU employees”, (i.e. KUSSI, Foundation, APSCUF Office, Print Shop etc.), with the KU employees in the main section of the directory. The KU employee information downloaded correctly from your updates in ESS, but the information that had to be manually merged in for the non-KU employees did not. Below are two links, the first is a short addendum that you can print and keep in your hard copy of the directory that just lists corrected information for the affiliated employee groups. The second is a “clean” PDF of the entire directory. http://hr.dept.kutztown.edu/pdf/Task/2013Phonebook-Addendum.pdf (Corrections to other affiliated KU service centers employee’s campus location and phone extension only) http://hr.dept.kutztown.edu/pdf/Task/2013Faculty&StaffPhonebook-RevJan2013.pdf (2013 Faculty & Staff Phonebook – Revised January 2013) Sharon M.
