The Facilities Office has been working to improve the campus recycling program while simultaneously becoming more efficient and effective. In late February 2013, the first phase of our new Single Stream Recycling program will be evident. Campus customers will begin to notice green dumpsters located in various loading zones across campus, which will serve as the collection point for all recyclable materials gathered from inside our campus buildings. Campus customers can continue to place recyclable materials in the designated containers and locations within their buildings. There is no change at this time in how the materials are handled within buildings.

Facilities will be working with our new recycling service provider, Waste Management, to bring educational programs and information sessions to the campus community beginning in the late spring of 2013. We are looking forward to providing a more comprehensive, cost effective, and enhanced recycling program for Kutztown University.
