The university has developed a grade-point
average calculator
for our website. The tool is designed to assist students to calculate future
grades needed to raise their GPA to a desired level. In addition to this direct
link
http://form.app.kutztown.edu/gpa/index.aspx, the calculator can be
found via links from the faculty/staff and student landing pages on the KU
website under online tools. Ingeniux users: if you would like to add a
link to the calculator on an appropriate page on your site, it should be added
as an external link. Josh Leiboff, assistant director/web content, University Relations Faculty and Staff: The General Education Assessment Committee, General Education Committee, and the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching are sponsoring the January workshop on General Education and Assessment at Kutztown University on Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the MSU multipurpose room. The focus of this year’s workshop is curricular and co-curricular connections. The workshop will be conducted by Dr. Nancy Mitchell, Professor of Advertising and Director of Undergraduate Education Programs at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, and will feature a discussion of the various types of curricular and co-curricular connections, including Nebraska’s unique innovation. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to talk with Kutztown University faculty and staff who are already involved in connecting the curricular with the co-curricular, including Dr. Erin Kraal, Dr. Rolf Mayrhofer, and Ms. Melissa Stock on the physical science living-learning community; Dr. Carissa Pokorny-Golden and Mr. Jerry Schearer on service learning and community service; and Dr. Lisa Frye and Dr. Andrea Kirshman on learning communities (subsequent announcements will include other connections). Lunch will be provided for participants and will offer the opportunity for stimulating conversation with colleagues. For additional information, please contact Gil Clary, Office of Assessment, clary@kutztown.edu or x6-4344. In order to plan for lunch, please RSVP by Jan. 18 to Kathi Malloy, Office of Assessment, malloy@kutztown.edu, or x6-5933. E.
