The University
welcomes the return of students who, for various reasons, did not complete their
degrees. Any student who has previously attended Kutztown University and has not
been enrolled for at least one full regular semester, at KU or any other
university, is required to complete a
Request for Readmission form in the Registrar’s Office and pay the $35
application fee. A student’s previous academic record will be the major
criterion in determining re-entry.

Application Process through the Admission Office
Students applying for re-entry who have attended other institution(s) since
leaving Kutztown University must complete an undergraduate application for admission, pay the $35 application fee, and submit an official
transcript from each college to the Admission Office. Students should be aware that some major programs have restricted enrollments and/ or very specific entrance requirements. Click Here for our mailing address and contact information.

Visiting Students
(Applicable to students visiting from another PASSHE institution)

Application Process through the Registrar’s Office
This
classification applies to a student who is enrolled at another PASSHE
institution (one of the 14 state universities of Pennsylvania) and wishes to
take courses at Kutztown University. Visiting students are required to submit a
Visiting Student Application available in the Registrar’s Office.
Transient Students
(Applicable to students visiting temporarily from non-PASSHE
institutions)

This
classification applies to a student who is enrolled at another college or
university (with the exception of those in the PASSHE system) and wishes to take
courses at Kutztown University. Transient students are required to submit a
Transient Student Status Form available in the Registrar’s Office. The form
provides approval for study at KU and certifies that the applicant is presently
in good academic standing. (This form must be signed by the Academic Dean/Registrar of the
institution the applicant currently attends.) Permission for study may be
granted for either one or two regular semesters. Please note - this information
does not apply to students solely interested in taking summer courses at KU.

Special
Enrollment Programs for High School Students
High school students wishing to take college-level classes at Kutztown
University concurrently with their high school coursework should contact the
Registrar's Office at 610.683.1323 for more information.
The Early Admission Program (which replaces a student’s senior year in high
school) is also available to academically qualified students. Requirements include parental approval, the recommendation and approval of the
superintendent and principal, accompanied by a list of courses which will qualify the student for high school graduation, completion of the undergraduate application for admission, and a $35application fee. The SAT and ACT should be completed and scores sent to the university. (Kutztown University’s code numbers are SAT 2653 and ACT 3706.) An official copy of the high school transcript must be sent
