How to Get Started
The following are some first steps to take so that you can begin on your journey to enroll at Kutztown University.
- Apply for the G.I. Bill - You will want to apply for your G.I. Bill benefits first.
- Contact Kutztown University Admissions - Contact the admissions office for information on applying to KU.
- Complete a Federal Student Aid FAFSA - In Pennsylvania, veterans may be eligible for full state grants. More information can be obtained via the Financial Aid office.
- Research all of your scholarship and tuition benefit options - You can research the scholarship and tuition options available to military personnel, and then you can contact the KU Financial Aid office to explore any other options that may be available to you.
- A.C.E. Military Guide Online - A.C.E. will help you determine what college credit you may already have earned via your military background.

- Kutztown University Disability Services - For information on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and conditions for which veterans may be covered by ADA.
- Career Development Center - The staff in the Career Development Center is here to assist you with your career plans: choosing a major, learning about career fields and job market trends, and assistance with finding internships and full-time positions. We’ll gladly support you over phone, email or in-person!
- Military Club at KU - All KU student veterans, reservists and active duty personnel, as well as anyone else who would like to be supportive of our military affiliated students, are invited to be a part of KU’s newest student group. The club meets the first Thursday of each month at 11 a.m. in room 200 of the Graduate Center.
