PROFS Program

Providing Resources and Opportunities for Future Standouts

Kutztown University has partnered with ChildPromise, Inc. to present a one-of-a-kind support program for students who are current or former members of the foster care system. To show dedication to successful students in foster care, PROFS provides college access programs, such as college prep and financial knowledge workshops, for high school students and connects Kutztown University students to the campus resources that will help them succeed.

Eligible students who attend Kutztown University have the opportunity to become active members of the PROFS program. Interested students should submit a completed application, resume, and letter of recommendation no later than August 1, 2018 to Dr. Warren Hilton, 109 Stratton Administration Center.

Benefits and requirements of the program:

  • Students who complete the PROFS program will receive a $500 scholarship award and free housing at the end of each semester.
  • Required one-on-one weekly meetings with a success coach
  • Maintain a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester
  • Remain in good disciplinary standing
  • Attend cultural experiences among other responsibilities.

The PROFS program encourages students to reach their potential and be a positive example for others who have also gone through the system.

Any Kutztown University student who has been in the foster care system is invited to fill out the application below. Any questions can be directed to PROFS@Kutztown.edu
