Overview

This engaging in-person workshop at Kutztown University is designed for individuals looking to adopt and enhance Agile frameworks. Participants will gain hands-on experience through a dynamic mix of simulations, real-world scenarios, practical exercises, group discussions, and role-playing activities.

Our comprehensive curriculum covers all essential aspects of Scrum, including Scrum theory, roles and responsibilities, events, sprints, increments, Scrum artifacts, and vital Scrum Master skills such as facilitation, teaching, mentoring, and coaching.

Kutztown University is committed to delivering high-quality professional training that meets Scrum Alliance standards while upholding academic excellence. Upon successful completion of the program, you will have the opportunity to take the CSM® Exam. Your course registration includes exam fees and a two-year Scrum Alliance membership. After passing the exam, you will earn the prestigious Certified Scrum Master® certification, which is valid for two years.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this course, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the core concepts and principles of Scrum, including:

  • Agile Fundamentals: Explore the history of Agile, various frameworks, the distinction between defined and empirical processes, and the principles outlined in the Agile Manifesto.
  • Scrum Team Accountabilities: Learn about the responsibilities and interactions of the Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Development Team.
  • Scrum Events: Understand the purpose and structure of key events such as Sprints, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
  • Scrum Artifacts: Get acquainted with critical artifacts including the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment.
  • Definition of Done: Comprehend the criteria that determine when a product increment is complete.
