Residence Halls

Room Types

Traditional
Our traditional halls are primarily used to house our first year students. The majority of rooms in traditional halls are double occupancy, which means it is one room with two occupants and share community bathroom on the wing. In all of our traditional halls, student staffs present programs to meet the needs of the variety of students.

Suite-Style
There are two suite-style buildings on campus, University Place and Dixon Hall.  Suite-style rooms have bedrooms and a a full bathroom within the suite. The residence life staffs provide activities and programs as they do in the traditional halls.

Apartments
There are three apartment-style residences on campus: Golden Bear Village West, Golden Bear Village South, and the Honors Building Apartments.  Apartment-style residences feature full kitchens, furnished living areas, and bedrooms. Our apartments are located on both the south and west sides of campus. Most apartments are four-person, five-person, or six-person,  however there are also limited number of efficiency apartments for one-person available in Dixon Hall. The residence life staffs provide activities and programs as they do in the traditional halls.

The apartments have living room furnishings, with a dining table and chairs, a sofa, chairs, and end table. All of these items must stay in the living room the entire year. They cannot be removed or placed in storage. Additionally each apartment has a kitchen with a refrigerator, stove and oven (except Golden Bear Village West).
