Multiple Temporary Faculty Positions in Art & Design

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 8,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The university is located in the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting, and is within 20 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The Department of Art & Design at Kutztown University invites applications for multiple full- and/or part-time temporary positions in Drawing, 2D Design and/or 3D Design for Fall 2023 and/or Spring 2024. We seek applicants committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community of faculty, staff, and students in the department and across the university. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth and professional development; and service. Required: Master’s degree in art or a related area; strong professional portfolio of personal and student artwork; teaching experience of at least one year or equivalent in Drawing, 2D Design, 3D Design and/or related coursework. Successful interview and demonstration of relevant abilities required.
Class responsibilities: The candidate may teach Drawing I, Drawing II, 2D Design, 3D Design, Life Drawing and/or Drawing Studios. Courses are taught face-to-face. If course/s format would change to hybrid and/or online, it will require successful completion of the Teaching Online Certification Course offered through Kutztown University. Successful interview and demonstration of relevant abilities required.
