Tenure Track Faculty Position in Cinema, Television & Media Production

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 9,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located in the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting, and is within 20 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The Department of Cinema, Television and Media Production at Kutztown University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level beginning August 2018.  In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service.  With a focus on creative storytelling, theory, and hands-on media production skills, this position requires one year of industry-related experience, one year of college-level teaching experience, and a terminal degree (MFA or doctorate) in a related field with degree in hand at the time of interview.

Courses to be taught may include Fundamentals of Video Production, Audio Production, Video Lighting, Video Engineering and Troubleshooting, Post and Field Practicum, Live Event Production, and Intro to Cinema, Television and Media Production.  Successful tenure-track faculty members in our department must also advise majors, contribute professional service to the university and community, and present and publish scholarly/creative work.
