Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 9,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located in the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting, and is within 20 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The Elementary, Middle Level, Library and Learning Technologies Education department at Kutztown University invites applicants for part-time, temporary faculty positions for the fall semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service.
Required: A master’s degree in education, a minimum of five years in grades PreK-6, and elementary education certification. A successful interview and demonstration lesson will be required.
Preferred: An earned doctorate, experience supervising field experiences, experience teaching methods courses in literacy and other elementary content areas such as math and science, experience working with ELL students, ELL certification, and experience working with diverse populations.
