English - FT 1 Year Temporary Faculty Position

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 9,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located in the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting, and is within 20 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The Department of English at Kutztown University invites applications for a one-year, full-time temporary position to teach classes in composition for the 2022-2023 academic year. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service. A Master's Degree in Composition and Rhetoric, Writing, English, or related field is required; MFA or Ph.D. preferred. One year of college-level teaching experience is required. The 4/4 teaching load will include Composition 100, and 200, and may include other courses depending on candidates' expertise and department need. Experience teaching composition and working with diverse populations is required. Candidates from minority and underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
