Psychology FT Fall / HT Spring Temporary Position

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 9,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The University is located in the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting, and is within 20 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The Department of Psychology at Kutztown University is accepting applications for a full-time fall / halftime spring temporary position to teach two classes (PSY 110 Child Psych and PSY 125 Life Span Development) and two sections of First Year Seminar (FYS) for the fall 2022 semester and two courses in spring 2023, dependent on the candidate’s expertise and department need. Experience working with diverse populations is required. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service. An earned masters or doctoral degree in psychology or related discipline is required. Two years of teaching experience at the college level, or equivalent, is required. Preference will be given to candidates who show demonstrated experience in teaching diverse populations and who have taught FYS before.
Candidates will be required to submit a philosophy of teaching statement and may be required to give a teaching demonstration.
