Your KU Username
Your KU Username
As a faculty or staff member, your KU username (also known as a KU User ID) is used to access university computers, networks, email, and services.
Reset Your Password
Passwords are good for 180 days. Every 180 days, a password reset will be required to promote account security. You’ll be reminded (via email) well in advance when it’s time to change your network password. Self Service password resets allow you to easily change your password online. If you have forgotten your current password or need assistance, call the IT Help Center at 610-683-1511 to reset your password.

Get Connected to WiFi on Campus
Use BearNet Secure
It is strongly recommended that all faculty, staff, and students join the BearNet Secure wireless network on all devices that support it (i.e. laptops, desktop computers, mobile phones and tablets).

Access Your University Email
The University uses Microsoft Office 365 as our email platform. Your email address consists of your User ID followed by @kutztown.edu. To access your email, go to www.kutztown.edu, click the menu icon in the upper right corner of the KU homepage and choose email. Sign in with your email address and password.
Manage Your University Email
You can configure your email account on your mobile device or computer.

Access MyKU
Login to MyKU
To access MyKU, go to www.kutztown.edu, click the menu icon in the upper right corner of the KU homepage and choose MyKU. Enter your KU username and password to login.

Understand your MyKU tiles and homepages.
View Your Class Roster
You can view your up-to-date class roster and email students.
Take Attendance in MyKU
Use MyKU to record attendance during the attendance period (specified by Registrar).

Access D2L
Login to D2L
To access D2L, go to www.kutztown.edu, click the menu icon in the upper right corner of the KU homepage and choose D2L. Enter your KU username and password to login.
Setup Your D2L Profile and Notifications
Customize your D2L profile and setup D2L notifications for an enhanced user experience by clicking on your name in the top right corner of the D2L window and choosing notifications.
Find Your Courses
Your courses will appear in the Pinned Courses widget on the D2L homepage. For faculty, these will be marked as active or inactive. Courses will be visible students once a course is activated, which should be completed by the first day of the semester. You may need to search and pin your courses to your homepage.

Visit Campus Computer Labs
There are several public computer labs across campus that are available to all faculty, staff, and students. There are also classroom computer labs and curriculum restricted labs on campus that are open to specific classes and majors.

Download Software
Download Office 365
Microsoft Office 365 is available to all Kutztown University faculty, staff, and students at no charge. Office 365 includes unlimited access to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications both online and on up to five devices (while an active employee). In addition to the applications, OneDrive provides cloud storage space.
View Other Free and Discounted Software
KU has software licenses that are available for free or a minimal cost for download on your home computer. You can access available software at download.kutztown.edu.
In addition, some technology companies provide discounts for faculty, staff, and students for home use.

Manage KU Alert Notifications
In the event of an emergency, timely and accurate communication of information is critical. Kutztown University has developed a plan for emergency communication that utilizes multiple and redundant methods of communication and notification in order to maximize the effectiveness and reach of the emergency information.
Faculty/staff can opt-in to receive alerts, and all registrants can customize their accounts to register two cell phone numbers to receive emergency text messages. Learn more about KU Alerts or add additional phone numbers or email addresses.

The IT Help Center is your on-campus personal assistant for Information Technology services. The Information Technology Help Center provides services to accommodate faculty, staff, and students in order to support Kutztown University’s campus wide technologies.
