Parent Orientation Program

Congratulations on your student's acceptance to Kutztown University!

The Parent/Family Orientation program prepares you for the personal adjustments that come with sending a child to college. At this program you will:

  • learn first year success strategies
  • increase your awareness of financial aid and college costs
  • learn how to encourage and emotionally support your student through their college journey
  • learn about KU's student services and how to maximize their use

 Special Accommodations for a Disability

For Parents and Families Attending Orientation

  •   To plan for a enjoyable day, consider spending the night in the area if you are traveling more than one hour. A list of area hotels can be found here. Kutztown's New Student Orientation also offers optional overnight stays in their non air-conditioned residence halls on specific dates. See our registration information for more details. It is important to arrive on time for orientation. The Parent-Family Program involves walking. The weather may fluctuate and rooms are air-conditioned, but you may feel warmer or cooler depending on the number of people and your personal temperature preference. You may wish to bring a sweater, jacket and/or umbrella.
