Open Observatory Nights:

The telescopes in the KU Observatory will be open for public viewing on the following Thursday evenings in Fall 2018*:

Sep. 13
(UPDATE on 9/13 at 9:00 am: Due to the cloudy weather, the Observatory will be closed tonight.)

Sep. 20
(UPDATE on 9/20 at 9:30 am: It looks like couds again tonight. However, the Planetarium will be open at 7pm for a show about Saturn and if the sky clears up by 8pm we'll open the Observatory!)

Sep. 27
(UPDATE on 9/27 at 9:25 am: It looks like rain again this evening. The Observatory will be closed tonight.)

Oct. 11
(UPDATE on 10/11 at 9:20 am: Another rainy day. Due to the poor weather, the Observatory will be closed tonight.)

Oct. 18
(UPDATE on 10/18 at 9:00 am: The sky will be nice and clear tonight! The Observatory will be open at 8:00 pm, directly following the planetarium show.)
