Admissions

Students applying to the KU MBA program must have earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. In order to apply, please submit:

You need not submit all elements of your application at once. We will assemble all components as you are able to submit them. However, you must submit the application form, along with payment of the application fee, first to:

**GMAT Waiver (Approved Fall 2017):

The GMAT (or GRE) could be waived if you meet one of the following:

  • Have an undergraduate business degree from an AACSB-accredited University and have
    • An overall GPA of 3.2 or above, or
    • An overall GPA of 3.0 or above and 3 years of professional experience, or
    • More than 5 years of professional experience.
  • Hold a CFA Charter or CPA license or have passed the CPA or CFA certifying exams.
  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited graduate program.
  • Have 10 or more years of professional experience in a managerial role.
  • Hold a professional certification in a field related to business, including but not limited to CFA, CMA or CPA.

The GMAT/GRE can be deferred and eventually waived if you have graduated with a 3.0 GPA in any undergraduate discipline and have at least 2 years business experience.  You can take up to four (4) courses in theprogram.  If you acheive a B or better in each course and an overall GPA of 3.3, the GMAT/GRE will be waived.

Waivers may be considered in other situations and are at the discretion of the Dean.



Once your application packet is complete, we will review it. In most cases, through our Express Review process, we can make a decision on your application within a few days.

Graduate Students

For all programs except Counseling/Student Affairs and MFA:

*To enroll for the next Fall semester, complete application file by Aug. 1.

*To enroll for the next Spring semester, complete application file by Dec. 1.
