Candidacy & Clearances
All students in Secondary Education certificate programs must acheive candidacy and obtain clearances.
Candidacy is required by the College of Education for enrollment in clinical experience courses. Candidacy is a critical status for all COE undergrads for program completion. Not meeting candidacy requirements will likely delay a student in their obtainment of a teaching certification.
Clearances (background checks) and TB testing is required for all students in a program that requires clinical experiences (student teaching). Scan and upload the results of your clearances to Taskstream. To obtain a Taskstream account, contact KU’s Watermark Support Team. See KU's official policy on clearances here.
